1. Palak-Amit pair won mixed air pistol Gold
Palak Gulia and Amit Sharma clinched the gold medal in the air pistol mixed team event at the World University Shooting Championship, defeating their fellow Indians, Sainyam and Samrat Rana, with a dominant 16-12 victory. 3. IIT Ropar developed patented Mechanical Knee Rehab Device
Researchers at IIT Ropar have made a major breakthrough in post-surgical knee rehabilitation with the development of a Completely Mechanical Passive Motion (CPM) Machine for Knee Rehabilitation, which has been awarded patent No. 553407. Unlike traditional motorized CPM machines, which are costly and require electricity, this new device is entirely mechanical. It operates using a piston and pulley system that stores air as the user pulls a handle, providing smooth, controlled motion for knee rehabilitation.
