3. 2026 declared as ‘Year of Networking & Data Centricity’
  • Objective: The core goal is a strategic shift from a "platform-centric" force to a "data-centric" force. In this model, data is treated as a primary combat asset. Information from sensors, scouts, and satellites is shared across a unified network instantly, allowing the most effective weapon system (artillery, air support, or infantry) to engage a target in real-time, significantly reducing the "sensor-to-shooter" response time.
  • Strategic Pillars: The initiative is builtby the Armyon three pillars: Indigenisation, Innovation, and Jointness. The Army aims to use home-grown technologies, including secure Indian-developed battlefield management systems and captive data centres, to ensure data security.
