1. Samia Suluhu Hassan Sworn in for Second Term as Tanzania’s President

3. Zohran Mamdani Elected Mayor of New York City
  • Historic Victory: Zohran Mamdani, a 34-year-old democratic socialist, has been elected as the 111th Mayor of New York City, becoming the youngest person to hold the office in a century, the first Muslim mayor, and the first person of South Asian descent to lead the city.

10. North Korea’s Former Head of State Kim Yong Nam passed away
