1.World’s first portable hospital ‘Aarogya Maitri Aid Cube’ unveiled in Gurugram
  • The World's first portable hospital, 'Aarogya Maitri Aid Cube' was unveiled  in Gurugram. Designed indigenously under the Project 'BHISHM', the modular trauma management and aid system is made up of 72 detachable mini-cubes, each being a specialized station for emergency response and humanitarian efforts.
  • It can handle bullet injuries, burns, head, spinal and chest injuries, minor surgeries, fractures and major bleeding. It can treat as many as 200 patients. These cubes are light and portable, and can be rapidly deployed anywhere, from airdrops to ground transportation.
2.PM launches Green Credit Initiative at COP28 climate conference aimed at reshaping global environmental policies
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Green Credit Initiative,’ a pathbreaking program aimed at reshaping global environmental policies.He also launched the official portal of the Green credit initiative at COP28.
  • The Prime Minister highlighted the limitations of the current carbon credit system, influenced by commercial interests and lacking a sense of social responsibility, paving the way for a new philosophy embodied in the ‘Green Credit’ concept.
3. Delhi Government School Pioneers First-of-its-Kind Biodiversity Park to Foster Ecosystem Education and Green Practices
  • A Delhi government school has established the first-of-its-kind biodiversity park to promote the ecosystem and provide students with hands-on learning experiences in agriculture, farming, nature, and greenery.
  • The park features a diverse range of plant life, including native Indian flowers, various rose varieties, an Amrapali mango tree, different types of curry leaves, lemon trees, and plants imported from Telangana and South Africa.

4. Indian Navy Day observed on  4th December
  • India celebrates Navy Day every year on December 4th to honour the unwavering dedication and selfless service of the Indian Navy. The day marks the audacious attack carried out by the Indian Navy on Karachi harbour during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, also known as 'Operation Trident.'
  • This decisive strike crippled Pakistan's naval forces and played a pivotal role in India's ultimate victory in the war. It's a momentous occasion that pays tribute to the brave men and women of the Indian Navy who have risked their lives in service to their country.
5. Nagaland Gears Up for the Commencement of the 24th Hornbill Festival 2023 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama
  • Coinciding with Nagaland Statehood Day celebration, the 24th edition of the Hornbill Festival 2023 will kick start at the Naga Heritage Village Kisama from. United States of America , Germany and Columbia are the Country Partners and Assam as Partner state for this year edition.
  • The United States of America (USA), Germany, and Colombia are the Country Partners, and Assam is the Partner State for the 24th Hornbill Festival.Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio were the Chief Guests at the festival.

6. 18 Countries Back New Global Guidelines, Crafted by the US and UK, to Enhance Cybersecurity in Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Agencies from 18 countries, including the US, endorse new UK-developed guidelines on AI cyber security. Written in partnership with industry, guidelines advise developers on the security of AI systems.THE UK has published the first global guidelines to ensure the secure development of AI technology.
  • Guidelines for Secure AI System Development, led by GCHQ’s National Cyber Security Centre and developed with US’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, build on AI Safety Summit to establish global collaboration on AI.
7. RBI and Bank of England Ink MoU for Collaboration and Information Sharing on CCIL
  • The Reserve Bank of India and the Bank of England (BoE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on collaboration and the exchange of information related to the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL).
  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Bank of England (BoE) took a significant step towards fostering international financial cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The focus of this MoU is on collaboration and the exchange of information related to the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd (CCIL).

8. Veera Rana Creates History as Second Female Bureaucrat Appointed Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh            
  • In a significant decision made by the government of Madhya Pradesh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the state’s 1988 batch IAS officer, Veera Rana, has been entrusted with the Additional Charge of Chief Secretary. This historic appointment makes her the second woman bureaucrat in the history of Madhya Pradesh to assume the role of Chief Secretary.
  • The government issued an official order on the night of November 29, formalising Ms. Rana’s elevation to the position of chief secretary. Currently, Mrs. Rana holds the position of Chairperson of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education and also serves as the additional charge of the state’s agriculture production commissioner.

9. NASA Unveils Initiative to Send ISRO-Selected Indian Astronaut to International Space Station by 2024
  • US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) plans to train an Indian astronaut for a mission to the International Space Station (ISS) by the end of 2024.
  • Bill Nelson, the administrator of NASA, made this announcement during his visit to Delhi, India.A major collaboration between India and the United States is the NISAR satellite, set to be launched in the first quarter of 2024.

10. India’s foreign exchange reserves increase by 2.538 billion US dollar to 597.935 billion US dollar
  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), India’s foreign exchange reserves increased by 2.538 billion US dollar to 597.935 billion US dollar for the week ended 24th November.In the previous reporting week, the overall reserves had jumped 5.077 billion US dollar to 595.397 billion US dollar.
  • According to the Weekly Statistical Supplement released by the RBI for the week ended 24th November, the foreign currency assets, a major component of the reserves, increased by 2.14 billion US dollar to 528.531 billion US dollar.
