1. Tripura launched 1st incubation & innovation hub “T-Nest”
  • First-of-its-Kind State Innovation Mission: Launched under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM 2.0) by NITI Aayog, this initiative makes Tripura a pioneer in institutionalizing innovation at the state level. It aims to decentralize the startup ecosystem from metropolitan hubs to the grassroots, focusing on "Make from Tripura" solutions and transforming local talent into scalable enterprises.
  • Strategic Collaboration with T-Hub: The Government of Tripura signed a landmark MoU with T-Hub (Hyderabad), one of India's leading startup incubators. This partnership provides Tripura-based startups with access to national-level mentorship, global investor networks, and a structured incubation framework to bridge the gap between academic research and commercial success.
  • Inclusive "Government-as-First-Customer" Model: A standout feature of T-NEST is its focus on social and regional inclusion, with dedicated innovation centers planned across all eight districts for women and tribal communities.
2. Jio Finance Launches AI-Backed Mobile App ‘Finsider’
  • Hyper-Personalization via Agentic AI: Moving away from a "one-size-fits-all" model, the app uses 15 AI agents and 70 decision engines to create a dynamic home screen tailored to each user's profile. Instead of scrolling through menus, users can use a Natural Language Interface to simply type their financial needs (like "I need car insurance") to get instant, computed recommendations.
  • The 'Finsider' Early Access Program: To refine the experience before a full public rollout, Jio launched 'Finsider,' an invitation-only program. Members get first access to new features and can earn JioPoints for transactions and feedback, which are redeemable for various rewards.
  • Upcoming 'Financial Fitness' Tools: The app is evolving into an "Intelligent Marketplace" with upcoming features like a Financial Fitness Score (to track wealth and tax compliance) and a Personal CFO for Bharat, which will provide conversational advisory and automate recurring payments and investments.

3. Union Minister Launches Upgraded RAJMARG PRAVESH Web Portal
  • Single-Window Digital Approval: The portal serves as a centralized, "one-stop shop" for obtaining No Objection Certificates (NOCs). It eliminates the need for physical visits to government offices, allowing individuals and businesses to submit documents, pay fees, and receive approvals entirely online.
  • Comprehensive Coverage for Stakeholders: It streamlines permissions for a wide range of activities, including access to fuel stations, wayside amenities (dhabas/rest areas), and private properties. It also caters to both government and private agencies for laying essential utilities like optical fiber cables, gas pipelines, and water lines along National Highways.
  • Enhanced Transparency and Efficiency: The upgrade focuses on time-bound clearances and real-time application tracking. By automating decision engines and digitizing workflows, the ministry aims to reduce administrative delays, minimize manual intervention, and significantly improve the "Ease of Doing Business" in the infrastructure sector.
4. Bank of Maharashtra Wins “Best Mid-Sized Bank” Award
  • Consistent Growth & Performance: The award recognizes Bank of Maharashtra’s exceptional performance across key financial metrics, including robust asset quality, high credit growth, and maintaining the lowest Net NPA (Non-Performing Assets) among public sector banks.
  • Leadership in Transformation: Under the leadership of MD & CEO Nidhu Saxena, the bank was lauded for its successful digital transformation and "customer-first" initiatives, which have helped it transition from a regional player to a high-performing national institution.
  • Inclusive Banking Excellence: The summit highlighted the bank’s ability to balance profitability with financial inclusion, particularly its success in reaching underserved urban and rural segments through an expanded branch network and tech-driven services.

5. IAF Conducts ‘Vayushakti-26’ at Pokhran Range
  • First-Ever "Operational Storyline" Format: For the first time, the exercise was not just a series of drills but was executed along a defined operational storyline, transforming the range into a simulated live combat theatre. It seamlessly integrated offensive strikes, air defense, and special forces missions (including Garud and Para SF) to demonstrate how the IAF would dominate an evolving battlefield.
  • Massive Display of Indigenous Power: Over 130 aircraft participated, with a heavy emphasis on Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Key indigenous platforms like the LCH Prachand, HAL Tejas, and ALH Dhruv were showcased alongside global frontliners like the Rafale and Sukhoi-30 MKI. President Droupadi Murmu, the Chief Guest, even undertook a sortie in the LCH Prachand to underline India's growing self-reliance in defense.
  • Round-the-Clock Precision("Achook, Abhedya, Sateek"): Guided by the mantra of being "Accurate, Invincible, and Precise," the IAF demonstrated 24/7 combat readiness.
6. Deepak Gupta Takes Over as Chairman & MD of GAIL
  • Vast Sector Expertise: A mechanical engineer from Delhi College of Engineering, Gupta brings over 35 years of experience across the entire oil and gas value chain. Before his elevation to CMD, he served as GAIL's Director (Projects) since February 2022, where he was instrumental in expanding the company's 20,000 km pipeline network.
  • Track Record of Mega Projects: He is renowned for leading landmark global and domestic infrastructure projects. Notably, he spearheaded the implementation of the $19 billion Dangote Refinery in Nigeria (the world’s largest single-train refinery) and led major projects like the HMEL Bhatinda Polymer Complex and Mongolia’s first greenfield refinery.
  • Focus on Energy Transition & Digitalization: His tenure, which runs until February 28, 2029, is expected to focus on India's goal of increasing natural gas in the energy mix to 15% by 2030.

7. Tamil Nadu Launches First Dark Sky Park in Kolli Hills
  • Pristine Stargazing Environment: Located at an altitude of over 1,000 meters, the park is situated in a "no-light-pollution" zone. A 1.5 km radius around the site is strictly protected from artificial light, providing exceptionally clear views of the Milky Way, Saturn’s rings, and Jupiter’s Great Red Spot—features usually invisible to the naked eye near cities.
  • High-Tech & Sustainable Infrastructure: Established at a cost of ₹1 crore, the facility is equipped with three advanced, GPS-enabled computerized Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes that gather 820 times more light than the human eye. To maintain its "green" status, the entire observation center is powered by solar energy.
  • Regulated Astro-Tourism Model: To balance conservation with tourism, the park follows a "controlled access" model, allowing only 20 visitors at a time.

8. Micron Opens World’s Largest Semiconductor Clean Room
  • World’s Largest Single-Floor Clean Room: The facility houses a massive 500,000 square foot raised-floor clean room, the largest of its kind globally for an assembly and test plant. Rated Class 1000, the environment restricts particles to fewer than 1,000 per cubic meter and recirculates air 120 times per hour—far exceeding pharmaceutical standards—to protect delicate gold bonding wires thinner than a human hair.
  • Strategic $2.75 Billion Investment: The project represents a combined investment of $2.75 billion from Micron and government partners. It is India’s first advanced memory ATMP (Assembly, Testing, Marking, and Packaging) site, designed to convert raw wafers from Micron’s global network into finished DRAM and NAND flash memory products for laptops, smartphones, and AI data centers.
  • Immediate Commercial Impact: Commercial production has already begun, with the first shipment of "Made-in-India" memory modules delivered to Dell Technologies.
