Children's Day, or Bal Diwas, is an important national observance celebrated across India every year on November 14th. This day is a tribute to the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (born November 14, 1889), India's first Prime Minister, who was famously known for his deep love and affection for children. He was affectionately called 'Chacha Nehru' (Uncle Nehru) by the children of the country.
