Q1. May I know the names of different teaching posts announced by KVS in 2020?
Ans: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has yet released the number of vacancies for the 2020 recruitment of the teaching posts. The posts expected to be released as per the notification of KVS are Principals, Vice-Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Librarian, Primary Teacher (PRT) and Primary Teacher (Music).

Q2. What is the age limit for various teaching posts of the KVS exam 2020?
Ans: The details of the Age Limit of KVS Posts as per the latest official notification is given below:

Q3. May I know the Upper AGE LIMIT RELAXATION for SC, ST, and OBC Categories?

Ans: KVS has extended relaxation on Upper Age Limit for the different categories of the candidates:

For Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe

 3 years
For Women (All Category) for teaching posts only except for the post of Principal & Vice Principal

Q4. What are the essential qualifications required for PGT, TGT, and PRT Teaching Posts?

Ans: 1. Essential Qualification for Post Graduate Teacher (PGTs) Posts:
(a) Two Years’ Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. A course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject.
OR
Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Hindi, English, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, History, Geography, Economics and Commerce.
(b) B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University.
(c) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English Media.
Note: Candidates having only Special B.Ed are not eligible for the post of PGT.
Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

2. Essential Qualification for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGTs) Posts:
(a) Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subject and in aggregate. The elective subjects and languages in the combination of subjects are English, Hindi, Social Studies, Science, Sanskrit, and Maths.
(b) B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University
(c) Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Paper-II, conducted by CBSE in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE for the purpose.
(d) Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Computer Applications
3. Essential for Primary Teachers (PRTs) Posts:

1. Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

2. Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test
3. Proficiency to teach through Hindi and English Media.

Knowledge of Computer Applications is desirable as most of the work is accomplished online these days even for teachers.

Q.5 Is it compulsory to have CTET Certificate for KVS PGT/ TGT/ PRT 2020?

Ans: CTET Certificate is compulsory for TGTs and PRTs' posts only. There is no need for the same for PGTs. 

Q.6 Can the candidates with B.ED degree apply for the Primary Teacher (PRT) posts?

Ans: Yes, B. Ed degree holders can apply for the PRT posts only in case he/she has scored at least 50% marks in Graduation and has also qualified the CTET Paper-1.

Q.7 Can I apply for different teaching posts?

Ans: Yes, you may apply for more than one post in case you are eligible and wish to do so. You will have to pay the requisite fee for all the posts applied for. In case of PGTs/ TGTs, a candidate shall apply only in one subject as the written test for all subjects of PGTs/ TGTs will be held in a single shift.

Q.8 Will KVS observe negative marking in PGT/TGT/ PRT 2020 Exam?

Ans: According to the official notification released by the KVS, no negative marking will be observed in the exam.

Q.9. May I know the mode in which KVS PGT/TGT/ PRT 2020 Exam be conducted: ONLINE OR OFFLINE mode?

Ans: KVS PGT/TGT/ PRT 2020 Exams will be held in online mode.

Q10. What are the eligibility criteria for NVS TGT Exam 2020?

Ans: The eligibility criteria for NVS TGT Exam 2020 are given below:
According to the official notification the essential qualifications for the NVS TGT EXAM 2020:

  • Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate. OR Bachelors Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and also in aggregate. Candidate should have studied requisite subject(s) for at least 2 years in the 03 years degree course. OR Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and also in aggregate
  • B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized University.
  • Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE.
  • Competence to teach through English and Hindi / concerned Regional Language.

The desirable qualification for the post is to have working experience in a residential school and sound knowledge of computer application.

Q 11. Does NVS allow any age relaxation for TGT & PGT posts?

Yes, NVS gives age relaxation for various reserved categories as below:

Q12.  What is the exam date for NVS 2020?
Ans: The tentative date for the NVS exam for different posts is announced for 5th & 6th September 2020.
 
Q13. Will the exam be conducted online (CBT) or offline (OMR Based)?
Ans: The exam will be conducted in CBT mode only.
 
Q14. Will the exam be held Bilingual?
Ans: The question paper of NVS will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which would be in the language concerned only.
 
Q15. Do NVS have sectional cut-off in the exam?
Ans: No, NVS does not have any sectional cut-off in the exam.
 
Q16. Do NVS have negative marking?
Ans: No, NVS does not follow negative marking in the exam.
 
Q17. How the Final Selection / Merit is awarded?

Ans: Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the written examination / CBT & interview. The marks obtained and the performance of the candidates will ascertain the final selection. 

Q18. Is B Tech(Computer Science) graduate eligible for the post of PGT (Computer Science)?
Ans: YES B.TECH graduate in Computer Science is eligible for the post of PGT (Computer Science)

Q19. Is B Ed required for PGT(Computer Science)?
Ans: No, B.Ed is not required for PGT- Computer Science post.

Q20. Can a candidate having M Sc Micro Biology with B Ed apply for PGT(Biology)?
Ans: Yes, candidates with PG in Micro Biology or Molecular Biology or Agricultural Botany or Genetics are eligible and will be treated at par with M Sc Botany/Zoology provided it is preceded by graduation in Botany/Zoology.

Q21. Candidate with M Sc Biotechnology with no B Ed can apply?
Ans: No. B Ed is obligatory for all teaching posts

Q22. What is the educational qualification for PGT(Physical Education)? Is B Ed mandatory?
Ans: The educational qualifications for PGT PHYSICAL EDUCATION are Masters Degree in Physical Education from a recognized university but B Ed is not required.

Q23. Any candidate pursuing studies for B.Ed and will qualify before the next academic session can apply?
Ans: No, candidates should be qualified on the date of application.

Q24. Can I present the Class X certificate/mark sheet as proof of age?
Ans:  Yes it is applicable to furnish age proof.

Q25. Is there any relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates?
Ans: There is no age relaxation to any of the categories by AWES

Q26. In case the candidate does not have a CTET scorecard, is it possible to appear in CSB Exam?
Ans: Yes, he or she can appear for the CSB exam. According to CBSE norms, CTET/TET(of any state govt) has been made obligatory for Regular/ Contractual TGTs and PRTs. Others found fit in all other respects may be appointed on the ‘Adhoc’ basis till the achievement of the qualification.

Q27. Why the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted?
Ans: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national level eligibility examination conducted by the CBSE to shortlist skilled teachers for Primary level and Upper Primary level and gives them a scorecard to be eligible for teaching in any of the reputed schools or government schools. The Union Ministry of Human Resource Development has delegated the responsibility of conducting the CTET exam to the CBSE.  

Q28. How many times the CTET Exam is held in a year?
Ans: CTET examination is conducted twice in a year preferably in the months of July and December.

Q29. What is the CTET Exam Date 2020?
Ans: The CTET 2020 exam as per the latest updates by CBSE is scheduled for 5 July 2020.

Q30. Are the CTET Admit cards for 2020 been released?
Ans: No, CTET Admit cards for 2020 have not been released 

Q31. May I know the types of papers that are conducted in CTET?
Ans: There are two types of Papers in CTET examination:
•    Paper 1: For Primary Stage (Class I to V)
•    Paper 2: For Elementary Stage (Class VI to VIII)
In case a candidate wishes to teach all the classes from I-VIII, he/she has to appear in both the Papers.

Q32. Is there any negative marking in CTET 2020 exam?
Ans: No, CTET 2020 does not have any negative marking in the exam.

Q33. May I know the Minimum Qualifying Marks for CTET Exam 2020?
Ans: Candidates who will score 60 percent or more in the CTET 2020 exam will be measured as CTET qualified and will be awarded the CTET score card and certificate.

Q34. For how long is the Validity of CTET qualifying certificate?
Ans: CTET Certificate is valid of 7 years from the date of declaration of result.

Q35. Can I ask for the Re-evaluation of the OMR Answer sheet?
Ans: No, the candidates cannot demand for re-checking, re-assessment, re-evaluation or scrutiny of OMR Answer Sheets which are assessed and scrutinized by the examining body.

Q36. Can I appear for Paper I & Paper II separately?
Ans: Yes, aspirants can appear in Paper-I or Paper-II as the exams are held in different sessions.

Q37. May I know about the NTA UGC NET June 2020 Exam?
Ans: The University Grants Commission (UGC) has hand over the responsibility to conduct UGC-NET to the NTA. UGC-NET is an exam  conducted to establish the eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Assistant Professor & Junior Research fellowship both in college and university.
 
Q38. What is the accountability of NTA for UGC NET June 2020?
Ans: NTA has been established as a leading, specialist, independent and self-sustained testing association to carry out entrance examination (UGC NET June 2020) for fellowship in college & University. UGC NET is a test being conducted to establish the eligibility for ‘Assistant Professor only’ OR ‘Assistant Professor & Junior Research Fellowship both’.
 
Q38. What is the ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for UGC NET June 2020 Exam?
Ans: Candidates who are in the final year of their master’s degree or equivalent courses or candidates who have appeared for their qualifying master’s degree (Final year) examination and whose result is awaited or candidates whose qualifying examination have been postponed can appear in the UGC NET June 2020 Examination.
 
Q39. What is the AGE LIMIT for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Posts?
Ans: The Age Limit for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Posts as per the latest official Notification:
  • For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is 30 years
  • For Assistant Professor, there is no upper age limit

Q40. What is the  Upper AGE LIMIT RELAXATION for SC, ST, and OBC Categories?

Ans: There is a relaxation on Upper Age Limit for various categories of the candidates:
1. For: 

  • Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe
  •  Other Backward Classes (OBC)
  • Women
  • Persons with disabilities (PwD)
  • Transgender

The age limit relaxation is 5 years as of June 01, 2020.

  • For: Candidates having research experience, the period spent on research should be a maximum of 5 years.
  • For Candidates possessing L.L.M. Degree, the age limit relaxation is 3 years.
  • For Candidates who have served in the armed forces the age limit relaxation is 5 years

Q42. Can Candidates apply for multiple subjects while filling the online application forms of the UGC NET June 2020 Exam?
Ans: The candidates can fill the application form in only one subject. One can select from the subjects given in the Information Bulletin (ANNEXURE-III). 

Q43. Is NTA UGC NET June 2020 Exam going to be conducted in ONLINE OR OFFLINE mode?
Ans: It is a computer-based test and will be conducted in online mode from 15th  June 2020 to 20th June 2020.
