Key Points To Remember Regarding SSC JE Exam Pattern For Paper – I

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Awareness sections will be common for all the three streams.
  • In General Engineering section, candidates have to attempt the sections as per their branches (i.e., either civil or mechanical or electrical).
  • Candidates have to complete Paper – I in 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • 0.25 % marks will be deducted for every wrong attempt.
  • 1 mark will be given for each right attempt.
  • If the candidate does not attempt the General Engineering section as per the instructions given in Paper – I, then his answer sheet will not be evaluated by the board.

Candidates who qualify in Paper – I are eligible to appear for Paper 2.

Key Points To Remember Regarding SSC JE Exam Pattern For Paper – II

  • There will be three parts in Paper-II under General Engineering, and candidates have to attempt them as per their branch.
  • If the candidates have attempted a part other then instructed then his answer sheet will not be evaluated by  SSC.
  • 0.25% negative marking will be applied to every wrong attempt.
  • Candidates have to complete paper – II in 2 hours

SSC JE 2023 Exam was easy. Candidates shared that a large number of questions across all the sections were easy to moderate to  attempt and only some of the parts  was difficult.

SSC Junior Engineer Tier-I 2022 Final Answer Key Out

Staff Selection Commission had released the result of the Junior Engineer Tier-I (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying & Contracts) Examination, 2019 (Paper-I) on 13.10.2023. Now SSC Commission has uploaded the final answer key with the question paper on their official website i.e. www.ssc.nic.in.

Q. Who can apply for the SSC-JE exam?
Ans: Candidates with a Diploma in engineering & engineering graduates can apply for SSC JE exams.

Q. Students from which engineering branch can apply for the SSC-JE exam?
Ans: Candidates who have diploma/degree in Civil, Mechanical & Electrical can apply.

Q. What is approximate vacancy per year in the SSC-JE exam?
Ans: In SSC–JE exam, approx. 1000 vacancies are expected to be released every year. But, these vacancies are also subject to change/ modifications.

Q. What is the age limit for the General category into SSC-JE post?
Ans: For General category, age limit vary as per department allocations through SSC-JE exams which is as follows:

  • upto 32 years ( CWC, CPWD )
  • 18-27 years (Department of Post )
  • 18-27 years ( MES-Military engineering services )

Q. How do I calculate my AGE for SSC-JE ?
Ans: You need to calculate your age in accordance to your Matriculation/Secondary Examination / equivalent certificate only.

Q. Is it good to apply for all the posts?
Ans: No, you can only apply for the posts whose educational qualification and age eligibility criteria is fulfilled by you.

Q. Which DIPLOMA degree is valid to apply SSC-JE exam?
Ans: Three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government. Also, Diploma degree from Private or govt. Institutions are valid. Moreover, Correspondence Diploma certificates are also valid from recognized institutions. Diploma Equivalent courses done by EX Servicemen from Armed forces are valid too for SSC-JE apply online.

Q. Does candidates with lateral entries are eligible?
Ans: Candidates with lateral entries after 10+2 will be eligible as they have same Diploma degree as others.

Q. How to apply for SSC-JE examination?
Ans: You will be apply to apply online via the official website- http://ssconline.nic.in/jeregistration

Q. Which Group class of employment SSC-JE offers?
Ans: SSC-JE offers post of Junior Engineer Group ‘B’ post.

Q. Is there any negative checking in Conventional sort papers?
Ans: No there is no NEGATIVE checking in regular answer sheet of the SSC-JE exam.

Q. Do I get ready for GATE or different exams in parallel with JE arrangements?
Ans: If you have a 4-year degree then you may set up another exam in parallel. In any case, the case of SSC-JE paper is out and out not quite the same as GATEor IES.
