The Vacancies for RRB NTPC Exam 2020 have been revised to 35,208, deducting the number of DLW vacancies from RRB Allahabad zone.

  • The exam duration for PWD candidates is 120 Minutes.
  • There will be negative marking and 1/3 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • The 1st Stage CBT is of screening nature and the standard of questions for the CBT will be generally in conformity with the educational standards prescribed for the posts.
  • Total no. of candidates to be shortlisted shall be 20 times the community wise vacancies of posts notified against the RRB as per their merit in 1st Stage CBT cum choice of posts.
  • The normalized score of 1st Stage CBT shall be used for short listing of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT as per their merit.
  • Candidates who are shortlisted for 2nd Stage CBT availing the reservation benefits of OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/EWS, PwBD and ExSM shall continue to be considered only against OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/EWS, PwBD and ExSM for all subsequent stages of recruitment process.

  • The exam duration for PWD candidates is 120 Minutes.
  • Negative marking of 1/3 is there.
  • The level of questions will be different for different level of posts.
  • Normalization of marks will be done.​​​​​​    
Typing test
  • Qualifying in nature.
  • Eight times the number of vacancies will be called for typing test.
  • The candidates should be able to type 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility    

Aptitude test

  • Qualifying marks: The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify.
  • This is applicable to all candidates irrespective of community or category and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible.
  • Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT for considering them for the post of SM/TA.
  • The CBAT shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi.
  • There shall be no negative marking in CBAT.
  • Merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the 2nd Stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.

Document Verification

Based on the performance of candidates in 2nd Stage CBT and based on the performance of candidates in both 2nd Stage CBT and CBAT/TST (as applicable), candidates equal to the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification as per their merit and options.​​​​​​

RRB NTPC Allowances and Other Benefits 
 
RRB NTPC Salary has other benefits more than Salary. Employees can benefit all the allowances like Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance if they travel anywhere it can be claimed, House Rent Allowances, Pension Scheme and also Medical Benefits.

The net pay after deductions is going to be Rs 22,550 for Grade Pay 4200 and Rs 18,912 for Grade Pay 2800. However, all the salary components, and hence the net pay is likely to increase if 7th CPC is implemented.

RRB NTPC 2020 Admit card:

 
The RRB NTPC Admit Card is issued by the Railway Recruitment Board on the official website of the respective RRB regions.
  • The authorities will release the RRB NTPC call letter/admit card for the 1st Stage CBT only for those who successfully registered for the exam. The RRB NTPC hall ticket for the 2nd Stage CBT will be released for those who clear the Preliminary exam.
  • The admit card for the Typing Skill Test will be issued only for those who applied for Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist and Senior Time Keeper posts and have cleared the 2nd Stage CBT.
  • The admit card for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) will be issued for those who applied for Traffic Assistant and Station Master and have cleared the 2nd Stage CBT.

How to download RRB NTPC Admit Card 2020

  • Go to any of the zonal websites of the RRB or click on the link given on this page.
  • Now, navigate to the relevant link of the admit card.
  • Next, click on the zone preferred while filling the application form.
  • You will be redirected to a page to enter your Registration No and Date of Dirth.
  • The admit card will appear on the screen after submitting the required details.
  • After checking all the details, candidates should download and take a print of it to carry it on the exam day.

RRB NTPC 2020 Result:

The RRB NTPC Result will be declared after the RRB NTPC exam is conducted. There are several stages of RRB NTPC exam – Prelims, Mains, Typing Test (for the post of Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Clerk cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper), and RRB NTPC Aptitude Test (for the post of Traffic Assistant and Assistant Station Master). The RRB NTPC Result will be declared separately for each stage.

Steps to Check RRB NTPC Result
Step 1-Go to the official website of the RRB: www.rrb.gov.in
Step 2-Click on the region from where you have appeared for the RRB NTPC exam.
Step 3-Click on the link provided for RRB NTPC Result.
Step 4-Download the PDF containing the list of candidates selected for a particular stage of the exam.
Step 5-Press Ctrl+F key, type in your registration number and press enter to search for your registration number in the list. If it is there, you have cleared the particular stage and are eligible to appear for the next round of the exam.

General Awareness contributes a major portion when it comes to railway exams. Maximum number of questions (a total of 40 questions) are asked in the CBT Stage 1 of RRB NTPC exam. Considering the RRB NTPC exam analysis, it can be seen that most number of questions was asked from history section. Many questions from current affairs were asked and it should not be neglected in the upcoming exam. Speaking of General Science, a total of 13 questions were asked from all the three sections.

Q. Do RRB has  negative marking in CBT stage 1 and 2?
Ans: Yes RRB will follow negative marking for incorrect answer in CBTs. I/3 rd of the marks will be deducted for every mistake or wrong answer.

Q. Will there be normalization of marks?
Ans: Yes, RRB will follow normalization at all stages of exam.

Q.Can one  apply for more than one post?
Ans: Yes, If the aspirants who are eligible for more than one post can apply for more than one post. They can set their priority preferences for the said posts they desire to apply for.

Q. Can one modify my application form after submission? 
Ans: Candidates can do necessary changes by using the same email id and mobile number which was used at the time of registration or else it will not be able to take your modification drive.
The RRB opted for, email id and mobile number cannot be changed.

Q. What is the application fee for RRB NTPC ?
Ans: UR & OBC: Rs. 500/-
Out of this fee of Rs.500/-, an amount of Rs.400/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in First Stage CBT.
SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class : Rs. 250/-
This fee of Rs.250/- shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in First Stage CBT.
