The online process for LIC AAO Recruitment 2020 is ongoing on its official website i.e. licindia.in. A total of 218 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Engineers (A.E) - Civil/ Electrical /Structural /MEP & Assistant Architect (A.A) and Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) Specialist will be filled up through this recruitment process.

For AE (Civil) | B.Tech/B.E. (Civil) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum of three years of working experience in planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure. |
For AE (Electrical) | B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum of three years of working experience in planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with all required infrastructure. |
For Assistant Architect | B. Arch. from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should be registered with Council of Architecture and possess a minimum of three years experience in designing all types of buildings with allied services. Candidate should also be well versed with green building design requirements and applications of AutoCAD software and/or similar type software. |
For AE (Structural) | M. Tech/M.E. (Structural) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should be well versed with the structural design of high rise buildings with the foundation system. He/she should be familiar with various standards of BIS pertaining to structural design and Foundation design and must be experienced in the handling structural engineering software like ETABS, STAAD etc. Candidates applying for the post must possess a minimum one-year hands-on experience in the area. |
For AE (MEP engineers) | B. Tech./B.E. (Mechanical / Electrical) from an AICTE recognized Indian University/Institution. Candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience in planning and execution of the Plumbing/Piping/HVAC system, Lift & Fire Fighting System, Electrical Sub-station in multi-storied buildings. |
For AAO (Chartered Accountant) | Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by the Institute of Chartered Accountant. The candidate should be an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. |
For AAO (Actuarial) | Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st February 2020. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. |

LIC AAO & AE 2020 Exam Pattern:
Selection of Assistant Administrative Officers and Assistant Engineers will be done through a three-tiered process and subsequent Pre-recruitment Medical examination.

Preliminary Examination consisting of the objective test will be conducted online. The test will have three sections (with separate timings for each section) as follows.

Phase-II: LIC AAO & AE Mains Examination
The main examination will consist of objective tests for 300 marks and descriptive test for 25 marks. Both the objective and descriptive tests will be online. The objective test will have separate timing for every section. Candidates will have to answer the Descriptive test by typing on the computer. The descriptive test will be administered immediately after the completion of the objective test.

Phase III: Interview
The number of candidates to be called for interview will be about three times of the number of vacancies to be filled in subject to availability of successful candidates in the online main examination will be purely as per their ranking in their respective category. There will be no contingency/waiting list for candidates not declared successful in the main list. Marks obtained in the Main examination plus marks obtained in the interview will be considered for final merit listing.

The procedure to download the admit card is the same for all the three stages. Let us now see how to download the LIC AAO & AE admit card 2020. The LIC AAO Prelims admit card will be released for all candidates who have successfully applied for the exam and paid the LIC AAO & AE application fee. LIC AAO call letter for Mains will be issued for candidates who clear the LIC AAO & AE cut off for Prelims. Finally, LIC will issue the admit card for Interview only for those candidates who clear the LIC AAO & AE cutoff for Mains.
Steps to Dowload the Admit Card
Follow the steps as under to download your LIC AAO & AE hall ticket:
Candidates will be informed about the release of the admit card through email/SM to the registered email ID/mobile number. We recommend you download your LIC AAO & AE admit card as soon as it is released. Do not wait until the last moment as you might face difficulty in downloading the admit card because of high traffic to the official website.
The results for LIC AAO & AE 2020 will be released after each phase of the exam is completed. The result for written exam will be declared first followed by the result of interview process. The merit list will be prepared in the descending order of the marks obtained by candidates in the final interview round.

Computers and General Awareness:
In computers we have not seen any kind of question that can hamper a candidate's composure. Even a non technical student can score from average to good marks if he has studied the subject well.
General Awareness section included most of the questions from Current Affairs. If you have mugged up February then you could have scored much. Some questions were from static GK as well. We will soon share the questions asked in the exam.
