Answers With Explanation:

1. Option (a) is the right alternative as ‘particulars’ must be used instead of ‘particular’.

2. Option (c) is the right alternative as ‘the east’ is the right grammatical usage since the determiner ‘the’ is used before the one that is only one of  its kinds.

3. Option (b) is the right alternative as ‘are’ should be used instead of ‘is’ as the sentence is talking about all of the boys of that kind not only Sanjay.

4. Option (b) is the right alternative as ‘whom’ should be used instead of ‘who’. ‘Whom’ should be used to signify human beings.

5. Option (a) is the right alternative as third form of verb should be used with ‘has’. So, ‘made’ should be used instead of ‘make’.

6. Option (b) is the right alternative as adjective should be used for race in the second part of the sentence. Thus, ‘two – mile’ should replace ‘two – miles’.

7. Option (c) is the right alternative as ‘to’ should be used with superior instead of ‘than’.

8. Option (b) is the right alternative as ‘when’ should replace ‘than’ in the second part of the sentence since ‘scarcely…….when’ are correlative conjunctions.

9. Option (b) is the right alternative as ‘every’ should be used in place of ‘each’. Since ‘every’ is used for uncountable things and ‘each’ is used for countable things.

10. Option (c) is the right alternative as ‘the’ should be used before ‘more’ as the first and the third part of the sentence is showing comparison. ‘The more…….the more’ are correlative conjunctions.
