For AAO   (Chartered Accountant)

Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidate should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

 For AAO  (Actuarial)

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed paper CT1 and CT5 plus 4 or more other papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Instituteand Faculty of Actuaries, UK. (Total 6 or more papers) as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st March, 2019. Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.

For  AAO  (Rajbhasha)

Post  Graduate  Master’s  Degree  in  Hindi/Hinditranslation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level OR Post Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as oneof the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level OR Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English andHindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

Selection  of  Assistant  Administrative  Officers  will  be  done  through  a  three  tiered process  and  subsequent  Pre-recruitment Medical examination.

Phase-II : Mains Examination

Mains  examination  will  consist  of  objective  tests  for  300  marks  and  descriptive  test  for  25  marks.  Both  the objective and descriptive tests will be online. The objective test will have separate timing for every section. Candidates  will  have  to  answer  descriptive  test  by typing  on  the  computer.  Descriptive  test  will  be administered immediately after the completion of the objective test.

Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination

Shortlisted candidates in final merit list will have to undergo Pre-Recruitment Medical Examination and if found medically fit, will be offered appointment.

Final Selection:-

Based on the marks secured by the candidates in the LIC AAO Main exam, they will be shortlisted for Interview. The Interview will be conducted for 60 marks. For SC/ST candidates, the qualifying marks is 27 whereas, for others, it is 30. Final selection of candidates will be based on the candidates’ performance in both Mains and Interview.

As you can see, the LIC AAO exam pattern is almost similar to that of bank exams. So, taking bank mock tests for IBPS and SBI will help you immensely in your preparation.

LIC AAO Syllabus For Data Analysis & Interpretation (For Generalists)
The candidates’ ability to analyze and interpret data and solve questions by applying their knowledge of elementary mathematics are tested in this section. Data is usually given in the form of pie charts, bar graphs, line graphs, etc.

LIC AAO Syllabus For Professional Knowledge
The LIC AAO Professional Knowledge syllabus varies from post to post. That is, it will be different for candidates applying for IT, Chartered Accountant, Actuarial, and Rajbhasha posts. The syllabus will be the same as the syllabus of the qualifying course for the particular post.

There is no specific syllabus for this section. Candidates need to be aware of the latest policies, development, news, and events related to insurance and financial market. Regular reading of newspaper and magazines, especially, the business, finance, and economy pages is a must to prepare for this section. Knowledge of the history of banking, insurance, and other financial institutes, various laws and policies related to them, etc. is also required.

LIC AAO Syllabus For Descriptive Test
The Descriptive Test will include two questions – Letter Writing and Essay.

Now that you know everything about the important topics under LIC AAO syllabus, you must plan your preparation accordingly. You must master all these topics and solve as many LIC AAO practice questions as possible. Keep in mind that as you practice, you need to improve your speed and accuracy as well. You must also take mock tests and keep track of your overall performance.

 

 

SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates who wish to avail the benefit of pre examination training may register their name and  other  details  with  the  Manager (P&IR),  Divisional  Office  of LIC  convenient to  them within  one  week  of  last date of submission of online application.  The Divisional Office will inform the registered candidates, the date and venue  of  the  training.    Such  candidates  would  have to  attend  the  training  at  their  own  cost  on  the  appointed dates and at the venue advised to them.  Candidates are required to refer to the website under the tab “Careers” for address of the Divisional Offices of LIC.

 

LIC AAO 2019 : Salary

 

As the official notification says, the basic pay of Rs. 32795/- per month in the scale of Rs. 32795- 1610(14) –55335– 1745(4) –62315 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments at the minimum of the scale, inclusive of House Rent Allowance & City Compensatory Allowance wherever admissible depending upon the classification of the city, will be approximately Rs 56,000/- per month in ‘A’ Class city. Other benefits are Defined Contributory Pension, Special Allowance for passing Actuarial Examination, Gratuity, LTC, Cash Medical Benefit, Group Mediclaim, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Insurance , Vehicle Loan (2-wheeler/4 wheeler) as per rules, meal coupon, reimbursement towards cost of Brief case/leather bags, mobile handset, supply of dailies and magazines and tea/coffee, mobile expenses, etc. as per rules.

LIC AAO 2019  :Admit Card & Other Info

The LIC AAO admit card for the Preliminary exam has been released  on 22nd April 2019 on the official website – licindia.in. Candidates can download their LIC AAO Prelims admit card till 5th May 2019. The procedure to download the admit card is the same for all the three stages. Let us now see how to download the LIC AAO admit card 2019. The LIC AAO Prelims admit card will be released for all candidates who have successfully applied for the exam and paid the LIC AAO application fee. LIC AAO call letter for Mains will be issued for candidates who clear the LIC AAO cut off for Prelims. Finally, LIC will issue the admit card for Interview only for those candidates who clear the LIC AAO cutoff for Mains.

Candidates will be informed about the release of the admit card through email/SM to the registered email ID/mobile number. We recommend you download your LIC AAO admit card as soon as it is released. Do not wait until the last moment as you might face difficulty in downloading the admit card because of high traffic to the official website.

 

LIC AAO 2019 : Result

The results for LIC AAO 2019 will be released after each phase of the exam is completed. The result for written exam will be declared first followed by the result of interview process. The merit list will be prepared in the descending order of the marks obtained by candidates in the final interview round.

Computers and General Awareness:

In computers we have not seen any kind of question that can hamper a candidate's composure. Even a non technical student can score from average to good marks if he has studied the subject well.

General Awareness section included most of the questions from Current Affairs. If you have mugged up February then you could have scored much. Some questions were from static GK as well. We will soon share the questions asked in the exam.
