Kendriya Vidyalaya has invited the applications for the post of PRT, PGT and TGT and various other posts. Eligible candidates can apply for the posts in the prescribed format on or before the last date. The KVS TGT/PGT/PRT exam 2020 has been concluded in Dec 2020. KVS 2020 Exam Eligibility Criteria:

KVS PGT Teacher Eligibility Criteria:
1. Two Year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc./MA Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR 

Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in concerned subjects.

Desirable Qualifications: - Knowledge of Computer application.

KVS PGT Computer Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

1. At least 50% marks in aggregate in any of the following: B.E or B.Tech (Computer Science/ IT) from a recognized University or equivalent Degree or Diploma from an institution/ university recognized by the Govt. of India. OR

  • B.E or B.Tech  (any stream) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computers from a recognized University.OR
  • M.Sc (Computer Science)/ MCA or Equivalent from a recognized University.OR
  • B.Sc. (Computer Science) / BCA or Equivalent and Post Graduate degree in the subject from a recognized University.OR
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Computer and Post Graduate degree in any subject from a recognized University.OR
  • ‘B’ Level from DOEACC and Post Graduate degree in any subject.OR
  • ‘C’ Level from ‘DOEACC’ Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Graduation.

2. Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English.

Note: For subsequent promotion, the incumbent will have to acquire B.Ed. or equivalent degree.

KVS TGT Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

1. Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate. OR

KVS PRT Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

1. (a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR

(b) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR

(c) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)* OR

(d) Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education(B.Ed)*

*Who has acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I-V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of such appointment as Primary Teacher.

2. Should pass Central Teacher Eligibility Test Paper-1conducted by CBSE.

3. Competence to teach through Hindi & English medium.

Desirable Qualifications: - Knowledge of Computer application.

KVS PRT Music Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

Essential:
i)
Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent and Bachelor Degree in Music or equivalent from a recognized University.

ii)Competence to teach through English\Hindi medium.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Before applying the post of Principal, Vice Principal, Librarian, TGT, PRT & PGT in KVS recruitment it’s necessary to go through the important eligibility criteria for age limit and educational qualification. 

Note: Candidates who have applied for CTET are eligible for KVS recruitment online application form.

Age Limit

The age limit (as on 30th September 2018) of a candidate for the different posts of KVS should be the following:

KVS Trained graduate teacher and primary teacher exam pattern is same and Post graduate exam pattern is different. KVS TGT, PGT & PRT teacher exam pattern is given below.

KVS Teacher Selection Process:

Selection process will be done in two stages (i) Written Examination (ii) Personal Interview.

I. Written Examination:

1. For PGT: Written test will consist of one paper for PGT separately. Paper divided into Part I & II carrying a maximum of 200 marks of 200 questions (Part I – 40 Marks & Part II – 160 Marks) in the Duration of 3 hours for paper. Part -I consist (General English & General Hindi) carries 40 Marks, Paper-II (Current Affairs, Reasoning, Teaching Methodology & Subject Concerned) carries 160 marks (Total of 200 marks).

2. For the posts of TGTs (English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Maths, Social Studies, and Science) and Primary Teacher: Written test will consist of one paper for TGT (English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Maths, Social Studies, and Science) and Primary Teacher separately. Paper divided into Part I & II carrying a maximum of 150 marks of 150 questions (Part I – 30 Marks & Part II – 120 Marks) in the Duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. Part -I consists (General English & General Hindi) carries 30 Marks, Paper-II (Current Affairs, Reasoning, Teaching Methodology) carries 160 marks (Total of 150 marks).

II. Personal Interview: Those who qualified in the Written  Examination will be called for Personal Interview.

There is no Pre - Exam Training  conducted for KVS Exam.

KVS Salary Structure:

Salary of the posts might differ according to the designation opted for in KVS 2018 Exam. The Government of India pays a very good salary to the eligible candidates who clear KVS 2018 and get appointed at Kendriya Vidyalaya to the post of Officer Cadre, Non-Teaching Post and Librarian. After the release of the 7th Pay Commission, the revised Salary for the above-mentioned posts are:

Q. What is the process of filling the ONLINE APPLICATION FORM for KVS PRT/PGT/TGT 2020 Recruitment?

Answer: Candidates can apply to the official website of KVS and fill the online application form there only. The candidates have to pay examination fee online through the prescribed link at online application, the post wise examination fee payable is as under:

Q. Can the candidates apply for different teaching posts?

Answer: A candidate may apply for more than one post if he/ she is eligible and desires to do so. In such cases, the candidate will have to pay the requisite fee for all the posts applied for. However, within PGTs/ TGTs, a candidate shall apply only in one subject as the written test for all subjects of PGTs/ TGTs will be conducted in a single shift.

Q. Can the students who are still appearing for their exams and not finished the essential education qualification fill the application form?

Answer: No, students who are still appearing for their exams cannot fill the application form. Only students who have passed their Exams can apply for the KVS 2020 Exam.

Q. Will there be any NEGATIVE MARKING in KVS PGT/TGT/ PRT 2020 Exam?

Answer: As per the official notification released by the KVS, there will be no negative marking in the exam for the wrong answers.

Q. Will the KVS PGT/TGT/ PRT 2020 Exam be conducted in ONLINE OR OFFLINE mode?

Answer: KVS PGT/TGT/ PRT 2020 Exams will be conducted in online mode, i.e., the written exam will be conducted for all the teaching posts.

Q. Will there be a SECTIONAL CUT-OFF in the KVS PGT/TGT/ PRT 2020 Exam?

Answer: No, there will be no sectional cut-off in the exam.

Q. What will be the SELECTION PROCESS for KVS PGT/TGT/PRT 2020 Requirement?
