• IDFC Asset Management Company Limited (AMC), one of the top 10 AMCs in the country, has received regulatory clearances from regulators for its proposed change in ownership.
• Securities market regulator SEBI granted the necessary no objection for IDFC AMC’s acquisition by a consortium comprising Bandhan Financial Holdings Limited (BFHL), GIC (GIC), and ChrysCapital (CC).

• A first-of-its-kind Tribal Winter Festival was held in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).The festival was organized at Ketson Bandipora by District Administration Bandipora in collaboration with Tourism and Tribal Welfare Departments to give a boost to tourism in tribal areas.
• Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Owais Ahmed highlighted the role of various government-sponsored, public-oriented schemes for the economic upliftment of people.

• World Soil Day 2022 is observed on the 5th of December 2022.In 2002, the International Union of Soil Sciences recommended creating an international day to celebrate and generate awareness about soil.
• It was a movement led by the Kingdom of Thailand under the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.His vision and passion for this most precious natural resource led, shaped, and guided the movement.The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United States supported the formal establishment of World Soil Day.

• The Haryana government has launched the Nirogi Haryana project across the state.The scheme was launched by the President of India Ms. Droupadi Murmu in Kurukshetra.The project was inaugurated by Gian Chand Gupta, Haryana Speaker, and Kulbhushan Goyal, Panchkula Mayor.
• The Nirogi Haryana Project has been launched to provide comprehensive free health check-ups and necessary medical treatment to the beneficiary families.The initial phase of this scheme was started at District Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula.

• India handed over USD 100 million to the Maldives to ease the financial challenges faced by the archipelagic state in the Indian Ocean.Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid and Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer were present at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs ceremony in New Delhi.
• The assistance being extended to the Maldives is without any terms and conditions and the Maldives is free to use it in its economic recovery.India has also provided a $ 500 million loan to the Maldives for the Greater Male Connectivity Project.

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a penalty of Rs 1.25 crore on Zoroastrian Co-operative Bank, Mumbai.For non-compliance with certain directions, including one related to discounting of bills.
• Also, the RBI has imposed a penalty of Rs 20 lakh on Indian Mercantile Co-operative Bank, Lucknow for non-compliance with certain norms related classification of non-performing assets.
• The central bank also imposed penalties on 5 other cooperative banks.

• The 12th Edition of Exercise Agni Warrior (XAW) 2022, a bilateral exercise between the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) & Indian Army (IA), concluded at Field Firing Ranges, Devlali (Maharashtra).To enhance mutual understanding of drills & procedures and improve interoperability between the SAF & IA.
• The closing event was witnessed by Wong Wie Kuen, High Commissioner of Singapore to India & Lieutenant General S Harimohan Iyer, Commandant, School of Artillery.India was among the first countries to set up diplomatic relations after the independence of Singapore on 24 August 1965.

• A Greenhouse-in-a-Box sustainable solution for small farmers devised by Telangana startup Kheyti has won the 1 million pounds Earthshot Prize, founded by Britain's Prince William and dubbed the Eco Oscars.
• Kheyti, one of the five winners at a gala green carpet awards ceremony in Boston, won the prize in the Protect and Restore Nature category from hundreds of entries worldwide.

• Filmmaker SS Rajamouli won the Best Director Award for RRR at the New York Film Critics Circle 2022. The group is one of the first critics’ groups to weigh in on the awards season.
• Rajamouli’s win surprised many as his competitors included Steven Spielberg, Darron Aronofsky, Sarah Polley, and Gina Prince-Blythewood. A pre-Independence fictional story, “RRR” stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR as real-life Indian revolutionaries in the 1920s Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, respectively.

• Former Union Minister Hansraj Gangaram Ahir assumed charge as Chairperson of the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC).
• He had been elected four times Member of Parliament from Parliamentary Constituency Chandrapur, Maharashtra and also he was Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council. He had been Union Minister of State for Home Affairs and Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India the 16th Lok Sabha.
